Singer Annie-Flore Bachiellilys appointed Gabonese ambassador for tourism

A partnership agreement was signed in Libreville on 22 August between the Minister for Tourism, Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou and Annie-Flore Bachiellilys.

The singer songwriter needs no introduction in Gabon and her celebrity is spreading internationally thanks to her concert tours. She has given more than 300 concerts in Africa, Europe and the USA, with tracks such as “Je t’invite” which sing the praises of Gabon. It is not surprising that the Minister asked Annie-Flore to become ambassador for tourism in Gabon.

She started singing at a very early age, in her native village of Mighoma. From 1988, she began to achieve recognition in Libreville and travelled to France in 1990. She has four albums to her credit: "Afrique mon toit" (1997), "Diboty" (2002), "Je t’invite" (2005) and "Broute bien" (2006).

She sings about Gabon and Africa and denounces the injustices that persist in the governing of a world that would gain overall from greater fairness.

Gabon is counting on her to promote, on an international level, the rich cultural, artistic and natural heritage that the country has skilfully preserved. Gabontour, The Gabon Tourism Promotion Centre, will back her and provide her with support.
