PLAYERS

OPPORTUNITIES

French, American and Chinese investors are already well represented.

Partnerships in this sector need to be centred around:
  • Roads with high traffic levels,

  • Structuring and integrating roads leading to the creation of tolls.

1 - Road network development:
  • Franceville-Léconi (95 km). Would consolidate the region's integration;

  • Léconi-Kabala (27 km). Route providing a link between the railway (Franceville) and the waterway (Mossako and the river Congo);

  • Alembé-Mikouyi (302 km), will help to improve exchanges between Libreville and the south-east of Gabon;

  • Fougamou-Mouila (109 km). Structuring route integrating into the North-South trunk road and situated on the Yaoundé-Brazzaville corridor;

  • Libreville-Nsilé (105 km). Main road heading inland;

  • Pont-Octra-Port Owendo (10 km). Road that would improve the safety of liquid product transportation;

  • Libreville / Bifoun road. Franchising for high traffic levels. This is the only road serving the north, south and east of Gabon.

  • Lambaréné–Fougamou (55 km);

  • Fougamou-Doussala : is part of the N'Djamena-Yaoundé-Brazzaville corridor;

  • La Leyou-Lastoursville (96,2 km);

  • Ndendé-Lébamba (37 km) and Ndende-Koulamoutou, will connect the South of Gabon to the Trans-Gabon railway;

2 - Road infrastructure maintenance:

9,170 km of roads to be maintained every year, including 1,052 km of asphalted roads. The maintenance programmes for the road network cover 8,820 km every year.
