Location The Woleu Ntem province is located in the north of Gabon. It is the country's ninth province. It is bordered by Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon, and is the second largest province in terms of population density with more than 97,739 inhabitants. The majority of its population belong to the Fang ethnic group. Environment : The Woleu Ntem province is mainly characterised by its humid climate, irrespective of the season. It is the country's coolest province, which also means that it is conducive to farming. One of the other defining characteristics of this region is its landscape, which offers tourists a magnificent panorama of mountains, savannahs and forests home to some gigantic trees. Transport : There are two main modes of transport for reaching Woleu Ntem - air and road. Natives of the province prefer travelling by car, not only because it is more cost-effective but also since it allows travellers to discover the beauty of Gabon's inland landscapes. In terms of air travel, flights to the province are run by the national airline companies Avirex and Air Service to "Ewoth Mekoh" airport.
